What is Cupertino Tech?
A calm, visual, curated map of Apple's developer platform: what each framework, tool and service does, where it runs, and when it arrived.
Why it exists?
Apple ships hundreds of SDKs, frameworks and tools, and it's easy to miss what's there. Cupertino Tech is a visual guide to help you discover them: one page per technology, in plain language, so you can see the whole platform at a glance.
It won't teach you how to use them. Apple does that best. Instead, it helps you learn that each one exists, what it's for, and where to go next: its official documentation and the WWDC sessions where Apple explains it.
What's on every page?
- A short overview in plain language
- The platforms and minimum versions it supports
- A small code sample, or a screenshot for apps and tools
- Its history, from the year it arrived to its latest changes
- Links to Apple's documentation and the WWDC sessions worth watching
How it's made?
Platform versions are checked against Apple's own documentation, and every WWDC session links straight to its video on developer.apple.com. Code samples are kept short on purpose: they show the shape of an API, not a finished app.
Apple moves fast, so something here may be out of date by the time you read it. When in doubt, the documentation link on each page is the source of truth.
Who's behind it?
Cupertino Tech is made by Ale Mohamad, an iOS developer and educator living in Spain who builds apps with Swift and SwiftUI. It started as a page on his personal site and grew into its own home.
“See something we should add or change? Find me on social media and let me know. And if you spot an Apple technology or icon that isn't here yet, tell me and I'll add it.”
