Overview

GameplayKit gives you the architecture and algorithms behind gameplay, independent of how you draw it. Use entities and components, state machines, agents with goals, pathfinding graphs and rule systems.

Its random sources and noise generators make procedural content and fair randomness easy, and it works with SpriteKit, SceneKit or your own engine.

Entities and components

Organize game objects from reusable parts.

State machines

Model game and character states cleanly.

Agents and pathfinding

Goals, behaviors and graph navigation.

Randomization

Fair random sources and procedural noise.

History

How it grew up.
