Overview

SF Symbols is a Mac app and a library of symbols that match the weights and sizes of the system font. Use them in SwiftUI, UIKit and AppKit by name.

A huge library

Over 6,000 symbols covering interface actions, devices, communication, health and more.

Weights and scales

Nine weights and three scales, so symbols line up with text at any size.

Rendering modes

Monochrome, hierarchical, palette and multicolor, set per symbol in code.

Variable color

Light up a symbol's layers by percentage to show strength or progress.

Animation

Bounce, pulse, wiggle and more through symbol effects; newer releases add draw-on animations.

Custom symbols

Export a template, draw your own in a vector editor and bring it back with the same behaviours.
